I don't know how I got inside this endless sea of white mist. Nor do I know anything about this place. All I can tell is that I'm trapped, and I don't know how to escape.
Just a few minutes earlier, I think, I was talking to my old Mentor, Professor Sutto. He was wearing a lab coat and had an eerily comforting smile on his face, like he was overjoyed to see me. He showed me this strange pet, telling me I had to prepare for the journey ahead of me. Then he disappeared into thin air.
This can't be real, I told myself. This must be a dream. I'll wake up in a few minutes, and my friends will be waiting for me outside. I laughed, trying to assure myself that I'd make it out of here, although a feeling of dread hung over me.
A flash of gold soared by my head, startling me. I turned to see the little pet bug, Ruby Coronus Pendragon, rushing hurriedly through the air.
